Leather Dyes for Shoes, Handbags, and Accessories
Leather dyes are essential for restoring the color and vibrancy of shoes, handbags, and other leather or imitation leather items. They can bring an old pair of shoes back to life or help you match your footwear to the perfect outfit. Our collection features TRG Leather Dyes, one of the most trusted brands in Europe. With a wide range of colors, you can choose from classic black and brown to bold red, blue, or purple shades.
Why Choose Leather Dyes
Using a leather dye not only restores color but also protects the surface of your shoes or accessories. Each dye kit can cover multiple pairs of shoes or handbags. The kits include a double-sided sponge for preparation and application, making the process simple and efficient. TRG Leather Dyes work over any color, even white on black, and repel water. The dye dries quickly without cracking or chipping, and after 24 to 48 hours, you can safely use a damp cloth to clean the surface.
Preparing Your Leather
Proper preparation is crucial for the best results. Before applying the dye, thoroughly clean your leather items and remove any old finishes. This ensures the dye adheres evenly and penetrates the leather fibers for a long-lasting, uniform color.
How to Apply Leather Dye
Mix the Color: Stir the bottom of the dye bottle with the included paintbrush until the color is even.
Detail Work: Use the half-loaded paintbrush to apply dye to the joints between the sole and the leather, along seams, scratches, and ornamental details.
Main Application: Apply one or two brushstrokes of dye on one end of the sponge. Rub the sponge gently in circular motions over all surfaces. Touch up uneven areas without adding extra dye.
Second Coat: Once the first coat dries, apply a second coat using the same technique. A third coat may be applied if needed to achieve full coverage and an even finish.
Finishing and Care
After dyeing, clean your sponge and paintbrush with water to prevent them from drying out. The leather dye dries completely within five hours and resists both dry and wet rubbing. The finish dries with a natural shine, and no additional polishing or coating is necessary.
Using TRG Leather Dyes ensures your shoes, handbags, and leather accessories remain vibrant, protected, and stylish for years to come.
